One bird, one boat in a peaceful, pre-sunrise Ganges Harbour.

Thanks Valdy and all the other Saltspringers (can’t be Salt Springers can it?) who have been, or will be, pictured at work and play. And thanks to all the visitors to this site. Here’s to another great year; we’re back to regular shooting tomorrow.
Cheers!

Oh, and don’t forget to pass the word using the links below…

A look at Ganges, straight down, from three thousand feet.
From the left you can see Grace Point, the red Coast Guard roof, the “downtown core” including Centennial Park (where the Saturday Market is held). Along the bottom are the marinas, SD64 board office, playing fields and maintenance yard.

This is about as close to a self portrait as you’re going to see from me. Some of us just don’t belong on that side of the camera.
The scenery, on the other hand, is superb. This is a view of one particularly pretty Mount Maxwell hillside, just a few minutes east of the summit. There’s a great walk up from the Armand Way area.

Happy New Year! It would be great to be kayaking on Chesterman Beach, Vancouver Island. The Tofino area (and parts of Mexico) are favourite vacation spots for Salt Spring residents.
