Looking at Booth Canal a bit differently today. The spit at the head of Booth Bay, a choppy Stuart Channel and Vancouver Island (near Crofton) behind.

Low Tide and Twilight at Booth Canal
Booth Bay becomes Booth Canal, seen near the centre top third of this image.
The canal is also called Booth Inlet, probably because the ‘canal’ is no longer navigable at low tide.
Leaves in the Water
Leaves floating in a tidal flat.
While travelling near Booth Bay, I noticed leaves floating towards the bridge. I had two thoughts, one more lofty than the other:
1. another surprising nature display; Wow!
2. hey, that reminds me of Poohsticks…
I’m wondering and wondering which is the better thought; oh bother!
