Media Arts Student at work at GISS

I had a pleasant conversation with this Media Arts student who was working on a project in the halls of Gulf Islands Secondary School. She’s trying out a technique where the photographer keeps both eyes open while shooting—hard to do but helps the photographer follow the action and anticipate the “peak action” moment.

I hope she likes what I did with this image.

I have tried technique, kinda tricky it is.

Does she have a name and a place where we can see her photos?

Morning Steffe. Unfortunately I don’ have a name or link to her work. The local school district has a policy of never associating a name with a photo. So I try to honor that. Odd though that names are always part of the local paper—which is also published online! Next time I’m in the school I see if I can find her and perhaps something will come of it.

By the way I love what you are doing at Photos from Haninge. The portraits in particular are great fun.

A technique that doesn’t work to well for those of us with only one good eye ! :D
