There’s something interesting in Ganges over there on the right. But I think this great looking dog is more keen to try out his new swim gear.

Fresh from the Market
All kinds of things to wonder about in this scene outside the Salt Spring Market…
Who is this shady character and where’s he going with that baby?
Why is a box labelled ‘California Tomatoes” coming out of the market?
etc.
What are you wondering about this photo?
Looking North from Salt Spring Island
This great clear weather has given us a string of gorgeous evening vistas from an upstairs window. It’s 9:30 pm and we’re looking north across the top of Salt Spring, over Wallace Island, Galiano Island, and Georgia Strait towards the Sechelt and Gibsons area.
On Mount Maxwell
That’s Lara and John of Mt. Maxwell Coffee Roasters, seen here in a Mount Maxwell meadow. (see what I did there?)
They are crafters of fresh, small batch coffee. When you are on Salt Spring, you can try a cup at Bruce’s Kitchen, The Fernwood Road Cafe, TJ Beans or Auntie Pestos. You can also visit their roadside stand on Cranberry Road.

Salt Spring Tuesday Farmer’s Market
There was a big crowd at this week’s Tuesday Farmer’s Market. Kelsey was greeting people with samples at the Foxglove Farm stand. The check-out line-up at this stand easily rivalled Thrifty Foods on a Friday afternoon.
