A young couple enjoy the early morning sunshine while waiting for the somewhat late Bowen Queen ferry on the Vesuvius-Crofton route.
We drove up there the last time we were on Salt Spring, just for the ride. If the ferry’s late, there isn’t a lot to do up there while waiting, is there!
They look pretty happy doing what they’re doing… If the ferry’s really, really late you can grab an excellent bite at the Seaside Kitchen, right at the parking lot. Or take a walk back down the road and find your way to Vesuvius beach. No stress walk as you can see the ferry’s progress (or lack of) all along the walk. They grab a coffee at the Vesuvius store on the way back.
