Another year of Salt Spring Photos! While I take a bit of a family/Christmas/creativity break, please enjoy a small selection of photos I feel were among the best of 2014. I hope you are able to enjoy a short break as well; best wishes for 2015.

I’m a newbie photographer from Pender Island. I’ve followed your blog for a few months now and wanted you to know that your photos are inspiring to me. Merry Christmas!
That’s good to hear Karen and Merry Christmas to you!
It sounds like you are immersed in the joy of seeing and creating. I think a goal for every photographer should be to constantly remain a ‘newbie’; there’s no end to what can be experienced and learned. It’s a big, changing world out there.
For what it’s worth, challenging yourself to create one image you like each day can be personably rewarding.
Merry Christmas John! I love the photo of the float plane – the sun and sky are just amazing!
Merry Christmas Korena. It’s an unusual photo as it rarely gets cold and clear enough to see this; lucky to have been in the right place at the right time.
The last one’s my favourite. Merry Christmas!
Sometimes I think I could shoot b&w all the time! Merry Christmas.
