What you are looking at is a wet leaf.
Wind, swirling around the corner of the house, slapped the leaf onto a wet window. The red colour on the left is a reflection of a large Japanese Maple in the garden. The green at the bottom of the image is a reflection of ferns. The crosshatch pattern is from the window screen behind. And the light area behind the leaf is a view though the house and out the front window.
The scene was not manipulated in any way. No modification was made to the existing light.
Intriguing combination of elements, both conceptual and chemical.
I really enjoyed the surprise of seeing this unusual combination in such an everyday situation.
You are such an artist! This photo made me gasp
Ha! That made me smile. High praise coming from you Melissa.
Love it! Your “captured” series has definitely captured my attention. Thanks for letting us enjoy the glory of fall without having to endure the wet, cold and wind.
Perhaps we can save up a batch of ‘fall glory’ and you can savour it when you visit Salt Spring in December…
