With a high of ten degrees Friday and rain forecast for Saturday and Sunday, you just know this scene isn’t going to last.
Looks someone was here before me. Probably someone with boots and, I bet, a camera.
These guys have been around for weeks of course, but you can’t have the end of winter without a photo or two of snowdrops. Still time to get your photos; there are thousands at the Kanaka Road Skatepark.
Yesterday morning…possibly the last glimpse at frost this winter on the Island.

Ice No. 4
10 a.m. Blackburn Lake
Looks like Blackburn Lake has been frozen for some time. Cameron, my photo assistant, and I arrived to this sparking scene while searching for ice Sunday morning.

This photo was made right along the shore, looking almost straight down. (the ice was new and thin on this lake)
Again, the bottom provided a warm coloured background while the sky added neutral and cool highlights.
