Weekend Jackson Cup play on Salt Spring Island. The end of the soccer season is near.
Late Day Paddle near Fulford
Continuing from yesterday’s story (you know the ferry lousy with photogs), rather than wait for the sun to go down, I turned around, crossed the Skeena Queen’s deck and saw this peaceful scene.
Photos are where you point your camera. Profound, huh?
First Light on Salt Spring Island
The sun pops up over the Sarah Way area. Fog rolls in over Ford lake (foreground centre) and the Fulford inlet (right). That’s Mt. Baker in the distance left of centre and, if you squint at this small version of the image, you can see Mount Rainier on the right.
Fernwood in the Fog at Sunrise
Once again at Fernwood, this time for a foggy February sunrise.
Turn around and look towards Wallace Island:
Soccer Moment
With sod and raindrops flying, time stops for 1/1000 of a second. The Salt Spring player on the left is about to drive the ball into the empty Saanich net. Meanwhile we get to see the reaction of the defensive player.
