It just takes a bit of wind and rain to dislodge the autumn leaves. With the still weather this fall they were able to hang on for a few extra weeks.

Millions of mushrooms have exploded out of the ground this fall on Salt Spring Island. This one, tucked away in Dunbabin Park, still wears some of the explosion debris.

Before the rain.
Cars parking in Ganges had leaves tumble down and smack them within seconds. I didn’t stay long enough to find out, but I’m guessing the owner of this shiny black car carefully removed the fallen leaves before driving away.

Happy Halloween.
Two thoughts:

Lovely view above the fog from the summit of Mount Erskine to the Maple Bay area on Vancouver Island.
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
