A beautiful hike on a rare (this year) sunny spring day. Despite the wet spring weather, south-facing rocky areas are already bone dry.

No matter where you are on the ocean, there’s land below. Something I found out sailing the waters around Salt Spring.
Today, the clear water reflections are magnificent. And it’s obvious where the bottom is.

These beauties are hiding out in the wooded area of the Vesuvius ferry parking lot.

That’s mom and the kids out standing in their field.

Many places in Canada employ this cheery flower as a sign of Spring and of hope. Daffodils are growing everywhere on Salt Spring Island; often in the wild where they seem to look after themselves just fine.
