Photographer’s Note:
At the risk of repeating myself, I find great satisfaction in working in any way with the talented young people on the Island. The performing arts at GISS is my support cause this year.
This shot was one of a great many taken on stage during the technical dress rehearsal. The students have come to expect a photographer wandering through the scenes as they develop.

Father and son musicians do a pretty good job trying to pull off the tough-guy look while at the Harbour House Hotel. These two don’t play music; they live music.

Gulf Islands Secondary dancers perform The Passing at ArtSpring Theatre on Salt Spring Island.
This shot is from ‘Inescapable’, choreographed and performed by GISPA (the Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts) and their instructor, Sonia Langer.

Photographer’s notes:
This is a unedited single exposure. The intent was to convey the energy and motion of the dance, the sound track and the performers.

Horse-drawn carriage owner and operator Moray Kennedy appears to be getting quite the earful on a rainy Ganges morning. (Seconds later, several other photos in the series show the gentleman bending backward in laughter!)
