Morning light at the Salt Spring Island Saturday Market
Market News:
In addition to the regular Saturday hours (8:30-4:00) , the Saturday Market will be open this year Friday (5 pm to 9 pm) and Sunday (10 am to 2 pm) on a trial basis Canada Day, B.C. Day and Labour Day long weekends.
And, the Tuesday Farmer’s Market is now open. Hours are 2 to 6pm through October.
Imagine my surprise when, at 4:50 am three black shapes, wrapped in blankets and taking photos, walk to the end of Fernwood Pier. Looked like a women’s weekend tourist expedition. Perhaps up at a ridiculous hour to watch the start of a new day. Perhaps just a late night?
