Lunchtime light plays across a wall in downtown Ganges.

This is a high school show? Really?
All kinds of wow in this performance, with two wonderful surprises from the GISPA* kids near the end of the show. Congrats to the composition class, the choir and the GISPA performers. And to dedicated teacher Bruce Smith who gives his kids a push and room to grow.

*GISPA (Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts), and performing arts in general at GISS is my business cause. And that’s probably why I went a bit overboard today. Three photos? C’mon choose one.
That’s not the half of it, another 200 or so were sent to the school. Back to regular programming tomorrow.

Rain Walker in Ganges
A woman walks from Thrifty Foods to her car (and dogs?) during last weekend’s downpour. It seems the water is reluctant to give up her boot.
And it seems a bit crazy that a main road in town runs straight through a pack of parking lots. Road or parking lot? Lots of confusion, especially during tourist season.
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
