A lone boat heads out Ganges Harbour before sunrise.

Early morning from our home away from home towards Salt Spring Island.

This is probably the best way to shoot a duck. With a 300mm lens.
St. Mary Lake is often the scene of beautiful reflections. Too bad those nasty microcystins are hanging around right now.

Cold, clear winter sunrise on Salt Spring Island. We’re looking out Ganges Harbour over the Sister Islands, Prevost and the Gulf Islands to Mount Baker and the Olympic mountains.

There’s the Salt Spring Air Force Snowbird acrobatic team flying over a pair of trimarans anchored at the head of Ganges Harbour.
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
