    I think the crow is an important part of that photo. Different strokes…

      i agree john
      i’ve noticed that something often completes a striking tableaux
      like for instance the human in your recent photo of the vineyard
      and many of eric klemm wide photos
      where he has a young daughter pose candidly to give a grand image context

        I think you’re right. Most photos benefit from having a main character; one main ‘focus’. And then depending on the story, something to put the main character in context or to richen the story.
