Elizabeth May signs appeared on Salt Spring Island the day the 2015 federal election was announced. She and her merry band of volunteers were first to the sign posts. And I noticed the campaign office is already open on Salt Spring.
And was it just me or did she not—once again—seem to be the voice of knowledge, experience and reason during the (August 6th MacLean’s) debate?
Unlike the others, it seemed she wasn’t reading from a prepared script but actually knew about everything she and the others were discussing.
Perhaps she should be involved in more than just this one debate?
Lucky to have her representing the Gulf Islands.
It’s a shame she’s not being more represented in debates. It’s a real shame the gutless coward of a PM refuses to engage the majority of the country in the main media debates in the past.
In Ottawa, there’s a city bylaw not allowing political signs on private property sixty days before an election, and on public property thirty days, so we won’t see any signs at all until at least the 20th. I was looking for them for a post I did on the election yesterday, but no good, so I went with the Langevin Block at Parliament Hill instead.
Oh my. Politics is such a sticky topic, isn’t it. Thanks for the comment!
