Horse and carriages for tourism purposes are cruel (to the animals) and tacky (for the customers). I love this gorgeous blog and really appreciate you sharing the daily photos, but I am really saddened to see that awful business featured. The photo is obviously beautifully shot so I don’t want you to think that I am in any way attacking you as a photographer–I am just dismayed to see animals being put to work as tourist commodities.
Gorgeous photo… as always. Horse doesn’t seem too hard done by. Nice and round, feet well cared for. Not exactly a stressed posture. Sure if you asked the horse if he would rather this or pulling out stumps, I can guess which one he would choose. Just a bit worried sometimes regarding impatient drivers not giving this mode of transport ample space. :)
