The Canada Day morning at the car show was wet, very wet at times. And lots of folks found refuge from the rain.
But others delighted in each downpour!

*note:
There will be definite reduction in postings during the remainder of the summer as work deadlines compete with the ‘getaway’ season.
We’re in Gorge Harbour on Cortez Island on this rainy morning (7/5) and just saw a Momma duck swim by with four babies on her back. Our immediate thought was too bad John isn’t here! She was moving so fast that we didn’t even have time to get the camera out…
We really enjoyed our time with you and Nicki, Micheila and Bill in Ganges. We saw two R2Ak racers en route to Dodd Narrows. Have had lots of strong winds (15-25 knots), currents and seas north of Nanaimo so am sure the skills and stamina of the racers we saw are being put to the test. We’re next off to Squirrel Cove, then on to Desolation Sound.
Take care,
Beth & Dave
Great to hear from you. Sounds like that would have been a great photo!
The Race to Alaska’s been amazing. Imagine sailing, without power or support, from Victoria to Ketchikan in less than four days.
Happy sails to you.
