Came across this loft today in what was being called a barn.
Nice barn.

Geeky, Photographer Stuff:
The top image is from a JPEG, with very minor editing (some dodge/burn, a slight perspective adjustment, auto white balance and gorgeous colour) from the Fuji X E-1 mirrorless camera. Note the shutter speed, handheld. Interesting…
ISO 800, f/10, 1/17 sec, -0.67ev, 18mm (27mm equiv)

The bottom image is from a RAW file, again with fairly minor editing, from the Canon 1DX camera. The camera was on a tripod. The colour, while very different from upstairs is as I saw it; so the colour hasn’t been changed.

We could live there.
That’s kind of what I was thinking Olivia. Just think how you could rip around in there! Needs some insulation though.
I was thinking, “What a perfect spot for portraits.” It’s just as pretty on the outside.
I was also thinking this is a great portrait location.
Amazing portrait location!!! (For dog pics too :)
Indeed, great for dogs too.
Is this on SSI?
That is one heck of a gorgeous barn!
Yes, on Salt Spring Island.
Indeed a designer’s bar. Messy people need not apply.
Thanks for the geeky info! Usually not necessary, but interesting in unusual conditions such as in this case, and for the fact that you shot on two different cameras.
Thanks Stuart. I think, at least for me, is that when faced with lugging the big camera/lens/tripod up the stairs…I didn’t. Just took the tiny mirrorless camera up, shot at ISO 800 with no noise while handholding it at 1/17 of a second. It yielded a sharp image with detail in the highlights and shadows and provided beautiful colour…without shooting a RAW file. My expensive Canon can’t do that.
