Great picture, great insight.
Sometimes I really wonder if people even look to the ground to see the directional arrows. If they did, they would notice that the entry to the station is not on Rainbow Road. I pointed this out to someone that basically jumped the queue one day, and was quite rudely told where to go. The kind of mayhem that results here during the day is what causes accidents (and hard feelings). I wish the co-op would put up entry and no entry signs at each side. Might make it a bit more obvious.
Well, yes this would be a no-brainer you would think? As relative newbies to living on the island my husband and I had a Twin Peaks kind of experience when we drove into the gas station – the right way. Everyone was facing us. We waited and waited and as a vehicle pulled away another one came in, faced us head on and so it continued… We acted out mime actions to indicate to the drivers “you’re going the wrong way” but that was met with blank stares. We eventually got our gas and Mr. Mitchell headed into the store. Unfortunately, the person he spoke to about this silly situation didn’t appear to be that interested. We will try and follow up with the Manager.
Anyway sorry to hi-jack your photo John. Good atmosphere and good time to get gas obviously!
Jennifer: makes sense…
Christina: thanks for describing your experience. And you’re right: if you get gas at that time of the morning no fouls are committed!
