Another member of the very local wildlife here. This Barred Owl flew meters away from my office window and spent the late afternoon in this tree (which I can see from my desk). Couldn’t not take this photo, especially since I didn’t have to leave the office.

Nice! I’ve seen them numbers of times, but only managed to photograph one. And certainly not from my office!
This is the first time I’ve seen one near our place. And we’ve been here for 23 yrs.

Oh my gosh! My mom is going to be so jealous. We can hear one of these guys near their place at night, but have yet to see it. Beautiful shot…as always.
