Cameron, the wonder Westie

You’ve seen Cameron the wonder Westie before. This is his grown up, on task pose: sitting partly sideways, ears up and watching over the neighbourhood. It’s raining, but I’m not sure he knows or cares. He comes from a long line of wet Scottish Highland dogs.

This photo was taken last week. Since then he’s been to the spa and is looking much more citified.

I kinda like the rag-tag look of Cameron, shows he a man with a job to do:) I own Gracie a wonderful Westie from the kennel of Laura Cameron…so think they may be related:) Have a wonderful day and great to meet Cameron!

We like the scraggly, real-dog, blockhead look too. Especially in a rural environment. Thanks Donna.

I get to look after Sarah, the Westie, and her three puppipes , in a few days time, when human mom, Laura Cameron, and her family move to Calgary. I am really looking forward to this. I have raised litters of German Shepherds and Silky Terriers but now I can add Westies to my list. Thanks Laura for giving me this exciting experience. I am sure my camera will be getting a major workout.

Hi Ronda. Sometimes when we get to Victoria in the winter we stop at Willows Beach. It’s one of the few places we can set Cameron free. He loves to tear around with other dogs. Perhaps we’ll see Lizzie there; it would be fun to watch them play together.

Yes, our Clan is off to Calgary but Prince Edward Island will be our home in the Summers. We are so fortunate to have extended Westie families all over Canada. Thank you for sharing your great pictures with all of us, John. Cameron is a beautiful Westie boy and I truly love his rugged, true-to-the-breed, “look” he pulls off so naturally ;) *Hugs* from our Family to yours <3

Thanks Laura and best wishes to you and your family on your plans.
Nicki and I both love this simple photo. It was not challenging to take, yet there is something about it that truly captures this Westie. The classic sitting style and focus..something about it makes us smile.

Lizzie would love to meet Cameron and I would too! I loved Cameron as a puppy and would have taken him home along with Sarah and several other westies of Laura’s. I would love to one day get some of these Westies together for photos. If you are looking for off-leash in Victoria Thetis Lake is where Lizzie goes hiking off leash. Maybe in the Summer we will take another ferry to Salt Springs.
