
This is one of many (hundreds) of photos I shot this week for a new International Education video due this September. A few students were helping out, playing the role of Media Arts students for the introduction portion of the video.
The shot below follows one in the classroom where a teacher was showing them how to use a reflector near a window. And the photo above is the result of their work.

To be annoying, I hope when the teacher was talking about taking photos – stock photos – they also talked about the misrepresentation of women in the media and being conscious of providing ethnic diversity in stock photography and video.
Oh, don’t get me started on the huge mess called stock photos.
She seems quite focused, though since it’s a staged shot, one can’t quite know.
She was actually reading when we got there (this is just outside the media arts room) and agreed to stay for a couple of minutes. Nevertheless, she was I suppose in an acting role—even if it was her own.
