Coming home from a recent early morning shoot, I noticed a angle beam of light on the roadside. I stopped the truck and jumped out to grab this shot before any traffic came by. And before the quickly changing sun angle…changed.
One quick shot, and only a crop in post production. No editing; this is what I saw and what was captured.
Note to self: get on Salt Spring’s SLOW bandwagon. Don’t drive/ride/walk by scenes asking to be photographed!
This is vanilla leaf, which smells faintly vanilla-ish as it dries (only once it’s picked) and was apparently used as a fly repellent. I’ve tried, but the flies won. It smells nice though…
Thanks Susan, we learn something(s) every day!
My Gosh, John! You are stupendous! Thank you for stopping and snapping this photo.
I like Susan’s comment, too re. it’s fly repellent qualities.
Not exactly ‘the decisive moment’, but certainly a fleeting moment. Thanks Tamar.
This is a glorious photo… magical
The backlit dew on the plants was a bonus.
Very Nice. Always look forward to your photos on my email. Nice way to start the day :) Cheers Natascha.
Hi Natasha.
