Saturday Salt Spring Island home photo…sort of.
In the foreground is the last portion of a very long driveway to a home perched above its 160 acres. Roughly one-quarter of the ocean view is shown in this image. The home gets direct light, from 360 degrees. The nearest neighbour appears to be at a similar elevation, perhaps 5 km away as the crow flies (actually the neighbours have a helicopter, so perhaps more accurately—as the helicopter flies).

This would be my ideal “water view home”. I like to visit the ocean, but would not want to live on it. This would be an excellent compromise.
Absolutely. Just checked our bank account and we’re coming up a bit short. Perhaps go in together?
