Salt Spring Library…Getting Close

November 26, 2012

Salt Spring Library Construction Photo © John Cameron

There’s still lots of finishing, installing and adjusting left to do at the new Salt Spring Library on McPhillips Street. Today the furniture begins to arrive. Grading and paving behind the building are next.
Meanwhile the contractor and sub-trades are scrambling throughout the building and around the exterior.

I hope to do a full set of images to document the new building once everything is in place.

It’s a fabulous building, filled with light. It’s going to be a great resource for the community for years to come.

We’ve been coming to visit since we were kids – and have always loved the SSI library. This new one is a beautiful facility. Thanks so much for letting us see the new look; look forward to followup.

It’s a super library for a small community. And this new facility should help make it much better.
