So this is what happens when you are about to take a photo and your leashed dog decides to bolt after a rabbit.
I’m calling it art; this piece of Salt Spring never looked so good. :)

Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
Turner would turn in his grave!
If he’s been lying one way since 1851, it is probably time to turn over.
I think Turner would be jealous. A work of art in 1/15 sec.!
A pastel painting. Lovely. If only my camera shakes were that good!
Thanks Christina,
When you find a digital accident that works, you can check the file information on the computer. And thus in theory, reproduce the effect on other subjects. And, since it’s digital, you get immediate feedback with each reproduction attempt.
For example, this photo was taken at 1/15 sec. And it seems that there’s a strong camera movement downwards and to the left; about 45 degrees.
By the way, this image was cropped to a square, otherwise it’s straight out of the camera. Hmmm… let see: no need to drag around a tripod, no image editing required, and quadruple the print price. I like it :)
I definitely see a series… would love to see you do the same thing shooting water with or without contrasting light or where you find strong landscape colours. I guess Rover is integral to making this happen. He’d want a percentage then?
Cameron the wonder Westie would think that he was indeed integral to the process. He’d at least want some kind of a creative fee, even if not there in person for the next accident.
Classic :) Love it :)
Thanks Natasha.
