You probably made their day!
Never thought of that. Made mine though!
I’m normally not that comfortable with getting into people’s faces with a wide angle lens. But I somehow don’t have a problem with kids. Probably because they don’t have a problem with it!
Often with groups, even small groups, it’s necessary to shoot lots of images in order to get a good expression with everyone in the group. And even then it may be necessary to move faces in post production from one or more frames in order to create a good photo. Not so when kids are into what they’re doing. And these kids were certainly into being wet; and taking their wet into the school.
By the way I’ve decided to support the Performing Arts at the school pictured behind these kids.
In a small island community (10,000) it’s best to focus on one cause, both to keep sane, and to make a difference. Gulf Islands Secondary School on Salt Spring Island has a school within a school. It’s called GISPA. It’s run but three talented and dedicated teachers and a bunch of awesome kids.
It’s my little company’s cause.
John this is a wonderful picture…you have caught the magic of their friendship, they could be heading back to the classroom at kindergarten, they look so shiny and happy!! They will treasure this picture
Lovely comment Kerry, thanks.
