Love Ruckle Heritage Farm days. I’ve never thought of taking the photos of Ruckle in black an white. It does feel timeless.
If your camera can be set to shoot raw and jpgs, you can select monochrome as a ‘picture mode’. Your viewfinder/LCD will show you the scene in b&w. Some people shoot this way all the time because they find it easier to compose in black in white. And you can use either the b&w jpg generated by the camera or use the raw file to develop a colour or black and white image.
Beautiful in black and white. And I don’t see modern items here… it could easily be a shot taken a century ago.
I’ve always thought the area had a timeless feel and was a natural for monochrome. Note to self: do more of this.
Oh Monochrome. I knew that it didn’t quite seem like black and white when I wrote that but didn’t know. I’ll have to try that. Cool effect. Thanx for the info.
So I viewed it in b&w. But edited the raw file. Here’s the original colour raw image ‘flattened’ with lower contrast to get the best b&w.
