There’s an interesting loop trail at the bottom of Baker Road, west along the beach, and up Quarry Drive Park Trail and down Baker Ridge Trail. This photo is the flat spot at the top of Baker Ridge. Just ahead is the very steep decent back (south) to Baker Road.
I always enjoy seeing your wonderful photos when I turn on my computer each morning, but this one took me back to a lovely place I used to walk a lot and had completely forgotten about. An extra! Thanks, Melissa
Thank you Melissa. While we walk sometimes at Baker Beach, especially in late spring when the Eagles abound, this was the first time I’d taken this little hiking trail. It’s a keeper and a good find for Salt Spring visitors too.
Great picture! My dog and I walk this fairly regularly – you caught it at just the right light. The fence is quite recent and adds to the scene. Thanks to Parc for upgrading the trail over the past year.
Thanks Lynn, Cameron the wonder Westie was in charge on this photo walk. Huge amount of work lugging all that snake fence!
