The Senior Boys AA Vancouver Island Championships was hosted at Gulf Islands Secondary School this year. The local team placed 6th on Vancouver Island.
Meanwhile, the GISS Senior Boys AA soccer team are currently at the BC Provincials. They won the first three games to take their pool. I just heard they lost a heartbreaker yesterday afternoon and will play today at 11 am for 3rd place in British Columbia. Amazing result for the small town group!
For those who are interested in photographing movement in a dark place like the GISS gym:

Good on the soccer talent! And I really like the photography info at the bottom. Thnx John.
Thanks for the feedback. I sometimes think there are some interesting lighting conditions where the photo info might be of interest to some people. Not sure how many.
I bumped (no pun intended) the ISO up to 6400 to get more depth of focus. Normally I would have shot wide open, f/2 on this lens. But the Canon 1D-X has a very clean image at 6400. No noise reduction was done in post.
Yes. I find it interesting and I think other photographers would as well. thnx. Beautiful day out there.
