When you walk on tight trails do you keep your arm up to deflect the spider webs, or do you let your significant other go first?

Lots, and lots, and lots of spiders around this year. This one’s at the kitchen window.
When you walk on tight trails do you keep your arm up to deflect the spider webs, or do you let your significant other go first?
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
Is this spider on the inside of the kitchen window or the outside?
We have one just like this . . . at our house, it’s on the inside. My parents were visiting recently and thought we needed a tidy-up, but I stopped my dad seconds before he wiped the spider away. The spider just sits there, day after day, hanging in its web.
Ours is outside, but mostly out of the wind and rain.
