People walk by as this girl escapes the downpour, reading and eating at Arigato Sushi & Teriyaki in Gastronomic (or if you prefer, Gasoline) Alley.

Sloshing through the rain in Ganges on Saturday morning, I realized it was actually a beautiful morning. Warm, great light with low clouds ghosting through the autumn colours. Lots of photographs to be made!
Sometimes we just need to look at things in a new way.

It’s a lot like November weather on Canada’s south-west coast. Time to look more carefully and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

That’s Sarah sitting in the back of her truck, way back in 2009. Although she still delivers a bit of firewood, she works as a dental hygienist now.
And not surprisingly, the price of firewood has gone up a bit.

The vendors are closing up the tents Saturday for this year’s market.
They’re back in business April 6, 2013.
