This old barn on Beddis Road is pretty much done, yet strangely picturesque.
6:30 pm on Wright Road
The Alders add a purple-red colour to this layered Spring landscape. The photo looks across a farm field toward the bluff along Cranberry Road.
I’m a big fan of picturesque wooden bridges, especially covered bridges.
But the old wood bridge was replaced with a new five million dollar (wood free) bridge over the Chemainus river. There’s also a view-spoiling gas line pipe spanning the river on the west side of this bridge.

This was a day trip from Salt Spring to Nanaimo Toyota where my Tacoma gets its yearly spa treatment. While there I saw this interesting little 2 litre (200 hp) motor in a Scion FR-S. Note the intake manifold sports both Toyota and Subaru branding.
