There are signs of spring everywhere. Well almost everywhere.
This old Salt Spring Island farm seems to have been forgotten by Mother Nature.

While working in the yard yesterday, we stumbled upon this hidden nest. It was tucked into a ledge in a large depression on a sidehill. The eggs were about half an inch long. Nothing was touched so we’re hoping the mother will be back.

It’s the sunrise that wasn’t. It’s blue, but I’m not. I like it.
We’re looking out Ganges Harbour, over the Sisters Islands and beyond to the outer Gulf Islands.

Yet another sign of spring. Baseball on a spectacular spring evening. It’s the season opener for Salt Spring baseball (Pee Wee division). The Duncan catcher is looking right into the seven o’clock sun, but the batter has his eye on the ball.
Colour or black in white? Pluses and minuses to both. Which do you like better for this image?
