Just another spectacularly colourful morning looking South-East in Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island. That floatplane, heading to Vancouver, is probably carrying some folks who want to pick up the pace a bit…

This Mute Swan was seen hanging about near Gastronomic Alley (formerly called Gasoline Alley) in Ganges. The swan seemed very used to photographers’ antics.

Using Moving Experience as a work platform, mechanics swarm the Harbour Air single engine Otter that lost power on take-off in Ganges Harbour December 29.

Horse-drawn carriage owner and operator Moray Kennedy appears to be getting quite the earful on a rainy Ganges morning. (Seconds later, several other photos in the series show the gentleman bending backward in laughter!)

Thursday morning, 7:48 am. Under the watchful eye of a resident tug, the pre-dawn glow illuminates the sea and sky. A Saltspring Air flight stops in Ganges before heading to the Vancouver seaplane terminal.
This post marks a year of Salt Spring Photos on this “new” website and almost three years of documenting the place and lifestyle of this beautiful Gulf Island.
