The Salt Spring Elementary Grade 1/2 class with teacher Janisse Browning, parent helpers, and Chief Pilot Harold tour one of Saltspring Air’s De Havilland Beaver float planes in Ganges. All the kids got a turn at the controls.

With the colour gone, one can’t help but explore the details of this winter cruiser. From the frost on top of the outboard motor to the often repaired look of the dinghy there’s lots to see. And to wonder about. For example, what’s the story behind the second dinghy…

Salt Spring artists are hunkered down building inventory for the coming season. In a recent photo session, Sean Goddard wanted to show the way the light plays on the iridescent wings of one of his increasingly detailed bugs.
