Continuing from yesterday’s story (you know the ferry lousy with photogs), rather than wait for the sun to go down, I turned around, crossed the Skeena Queen’s deck and saw this peaceful scene.
Photos are where you point your camera. Profound, huh?

A once loved, twin keel sailboat is now just another piece of flotsam from the Ganges area, recovered by volunteers. Kind of like taking out someone else’s garbage.

High school and middle school improv is off the charts on Salt Spring Island. Clever kids motivated by intrepid instructors. Bob is seen here during Apocalypse: Improv, on stage at ArtSpring Theatre.
p.s.
Congratulations to the GISS Improv team for their second place finish in the Vancouver Island Regional Tournament.

This year’s favourite Salt Spring subject. Splendid on a still February daybreak.

The Gulf Islands School of Performing Arts (GISPA) class last week began what they call “collective creation”, the building together of a June performance. The large group of students and their three instructors work together (on music, dance and acting) to create original productions. GISPA is unique at the high school level and their productions are not to be missed.

Photographer’s note. This student, a dynamite dancer, is not posing for the camera; she didn’t know I was there. She’s in character and is staying in character as she moves, even when facing backstage. So a lucky shot really. (ISO 6400 35mm f1.8 1/60)
