Morning twilight view from the Ganges Hill area over Salt Spring, Prevost and Mayne Islands with Mt. Baker in the distance.

Happy Easter everyone. So easy to enjoy Easter on the Island when the weather is unprecedented and the smiles are everywhere. I’m sure I talked to one hundred people today in Ganges, chatted with many students from yesteryear and made some new friends who have a similar photo affliction.
And was touched by so many people who came over to tell me how much they enjoyed the Murakami photos in AQUA and here on the web.

Best snippet of the day:
“Are you working?” I was asked. After a short pause, I had to reply, “I’m not sure.” :)

There’s an interesting loop trail at the bottom of Baker Road, west along the beach, and up Quarry Drive Park Trail and down Baker Ridge Trail. This photo is the flat spot at the top of Baker Ridge. Just ahead is the very steep decent back (south) to Baker Road.

Looking back at Salt Spring Island from the 7 a.m. Bowen Queen as it coasted into Crofton. The dull sky over Mount Baker became a blue and pink palette, heralding the coming sunrise. A colourful surprise.
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
