Fernwood Pier, Salt Spring Island on a quiet and early August morning. The tide was running strong as the sun lit up the dock’s red railing.

Residents and visitors enjoy a perfect evening on the north end of Salt Spring Island. Fernwood dock is the longest government dock on the Island.

The crew of Mischief, tired after eight hours of racing, demonstrate a smooth tack in Trincomali Channel near Fernwood Dock. Mischief, a Melges 32 race boat with a handicap of 27, is skippered by Iain and Susanne Morris from the West Vancouver Yacht Club.
Mischief placed first (of 120 boats) in this year’s Round Saltspring 2011 sailing race.
