‘CLOSED’ seems a bit harsh. Lots goes on behind the scenes in a school district during the summer. But I’ve not seen the playing fields so brown—ever. Perhaps it’s just the the fields that are closed.
Michela Sorrentino opened a new show last night at the Pod Contemporary gallery in Ganges. Michela’s work is both fun and detailed. Below is a portion of this piece—a bit closer to what you would see if you were standing in front of the painting:

Lots of food, flowers, farmers, vendors and buyers at this week’s Tuesday Market. June through October it’s a “food-only market that specializes in authentic, local, fresh and seasonal product”.
Testing day for some physicists At Gulf Islands Secondary. This team had a rather unique way of loading their machine (see pile of bricks on the left end). One team was able to toss a large water balloon about 90 meters.
