Coming home from a day off the rock we were treated to this scene looking toward Cape Kepple on Salt Spring Island. The artfully arranged and graphic cloud created a beautiful reflection.
There were a crowd of photographers on the boat, but I managed to get a spot.
I can upon this solo swimmer, a young cormorant I believe, on a dull Ganges day. He (She?) was quite wary. We played ‘Guess where I’m going to surface’ for two minutes before I was alone.

Once again at Fernwood, this time for a foggy February sunrise.
Turn around and look towards Wallace Island:
A once loved, twin keel sailboat is now just another piece of flotsam from the Ganges area, recovered by volunteers. Kind of like taking out someone else’s garbage.
This year’s favourite Salt Spring subject. Splendid on a still February daybreak.
