From southern Salt Spring Island looking south-east across to the United Sates.

Coming home from a recent early morning shoot, I noticed a angle beam of light on the roadside. I stopped the truck and jumped out to grab this shot before any traffic came by. And before the quickly changing sun angle…changed.
One quick shot, and only a crop in post production. No editing; this is what I saw and what was captured.
Note to self: get on Salt Spring’s SLOW bandwagon. Don’t drive/ride/walk by scenes asking to be photographed!

The sun is seconds away from rising over Galiano Island. (as seen from the Fernwood area)

Sunday experiment. Simply a panorama-style crop of the normal 3:2 ratio of a 35mm image. Just removing some visual foreground distraction and reducing the amount of sky.

April twilight scene. 5:45 am, documenting the start of a new day. Facing 70 degrees (ENE) from south of the 537/653 line.
Photographs of Salt Spring Island and areas reachable by ferry and road (and sometimes off-road).
