A quiet January sunrise in Ganges Harbour.

The year’s first sunrise lit up the frost on the CyPeck wheelhouse. This replica wheelhouse acts as the float plane shelter on main government dock in Ganges Harbour.

Winter fog gives way to sunshine and blue skies at St Mary Lake on the north end of Salt Spring Island.
May this be a metaphor to you and yours in 2013.

Intrepid employees Kirsty and Stewart complete another ‘repair’ on one of the company landscape trucks while at Windsor Plywood. Looks like they’ve applied equal parts Tuck Tape and Duct Tape. Like the sign says, the truck is one-quarter good on one side.

It’s fun to look back through the year for your favourite photos.
To see my favourite photos from 2012,

Thanks Sharon for the handsome hand-painted cookies.
(I had to guard these last three in order to get a photo!)

The beginnings of a snowfall on Salt Spring on Christmas day.
OK, perhaps it didn’t compare to the snow of 1996 or even 2008, but it was enough for the plow to come by our place. Made for a wonderful day and qualifies, in my book, as a white Christmas.
