January on St. Mary Lake

January 11, 2016

Winter Evening, St. Mary Lake

5:00 p.m.

Early darkness, a frost-covered float, clouds and fog over the lake.
Lovely and calm. Anyone fancy a swim?

      Exactly the you would Melissa.

      1. notice (come from always looking)
      2. stop (e.g. stop driving car)
      3. frame and shoot (with a tripod as it gets dark and always for best print quality)

You comment is interesting as I had a similar comment by phone yesterday—someone commenting that she really liked the cloudy, monochromatic, moody shots. And I do too, but I have felt in the past that most people find that type of image too dark; not bright sunshine cheery…
