Ocean Concrete Giants in Vancouver, BC

Another ‘day trip’ photo from Vancouver

Brazillian graffiti artist twins, Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo, have transformed the huge silos at Ocean Concrete in Vancouver’s Granville Island into a 360 degree, 23 metre tall ‘mural’.

The Granville Island area attracts over 10 million visitors a year, including me. It’s good to get off ‘the rock’ (Salt Spring) occasionally to see the world…

It was interesting to see them up there with their spay cans of paint. Not sure how they can work so close to the surface they are painting. Improves the concrete plant aesthetic!

It certainly does liven those silos up considerably.
