Orchid

Orchid
This plant (a Phalaenopsis Orchid) has been looking at me for a week. So on this dreary evening, I finally agreed to a quick portrait session.

Thanks Alice. I’m thinking now a closer crop might be better, one that shows the detail and colour of the flower’s centre. On the other hand, that would eliminate the side view of that top flower…

Well thanks Natascha, we feel fortunate to have been able to get away (in good weather) for a couple of weeks. A person could get used to that!
I guess you are heading into summer soon. We had our first fall/winter storm wind and rain last night to be followed up tonight by significant rain. And I’m already looking forward to summer…
