Another Saturday peek at Salt Spring Island homes (are you getting tired of this Saturday feature?).
This renovation of a waterfront cottage has up-to-date, but hidden, audio and visual tech. But it still oozes a bright, cozy, ‘cottage’ feel. It would be easy to live full time in this home…
Looks like a fine place. I like the bookcase.
I think painting the whole place out in white was a clever reno move. The light just bounces around everywhere (except the media room) in that home.
I thoroughly enjoy this Saturday feature. It’s so nice to see some of the beautiful homes of our island.
Thanks Whitney.
Please John, keep the Saturday properties coming, we are looking in from the UK, hoping (longing) to move to Salt Spring. Saturday is the highlight of the week, it’s when we play the ‘would we / could we’ live in this house – today, just so you know, is definitely a yes!
OK, thanks for the feedback Sammy. And good luck!

Inevitably, and probably quite sensibly, ‘realtor’ pictures show decluttered, depersonalized homes. How lovely, in this case, to see bookshelves with real books that look if somebody has read them. The difference between a house and a home…
Interesting observation, thanks Stuart
The book shelves particularly appeal to me!
gorgeous. keep ’em coming.
always wish I knew where the house was located… but I understand curiosity has hazards.
:-)
Thanks Steven. And yes you’re right.
Hi John,
Thanks for the great photos each day – we appreciate the effort, and yes, keep the SSI homes feature coming. Really enjoy the personal touch of seeing “living space.” Also a big thanks to the kind home owners who allow us a little sticky beak ;) cheers Natascha. ps. Loved the clip on the international school :)
Thanks for all the comments Natascha. And this ‘sticky beak’ is a new one on me; love it.
