Kids being kids. Up a tree. On a Sunday morning. In front of the high school on Salt Spring Island.

I’m an equal opportunity photographer and am pleased to include a photo of the boys (as well as the girls) at the Nairn Howe Tournament!
And the gym is getting darker. This photo was taken on a sunny day with some help through the high glass block windows. But all the lighting used in the gym is indirect, with the fluorescent tubes shining up to reflect off the ceiling. Nice effect, but not enough lumens as the dust collects!
For those GISS yearbook kids, here are some good settings to start with: WB 2800 °K, f/1.8, 1/400sec, ISO 1600 (so don’t bring those slow zoom lenses, sign out the 50mm f/1.8 and perhaps the 135 f/2.0)
